ABSTRACT
This chapter presents detailed results of the empirical research. The respondents’ statements were organized around areas that were considered crucial from the perspective of the objective of the study and that expose the best specifics of the Fair Trade market. Therefore, first, the respondents’ views on various aspects of the functioning of the Fair Trade movement, market, and organizations have been quoted; second, on the directions and dilemmas of its development; and third, on barriers, challenges, chances, and threats to its development. It made possible to recognize a number of elements influencing the specifics of the Fair Trade market and their consequences for the development of this market. It also enabled recognizing the mechanism of the impact of the Fair Trade market on the functioning of the entire market and the reasons why top-down support for the development of this market may prove to be justified and necessary for its further development. The last section focuses on the respondents’ statements on their expectations of the role of the state towards Fair Trade, which served to identify the views of the stakeholders themselves on the possible need for top-down support of this initiative from the perspective of its development and pursuing its goals.
