ABSTRACT

This concluding chapter begins by emphasising that rather than closing them down, the conversations and arguments which have been developed through this book instead need to be held open in ongoing reflexive consideration.

As well as briefly setting out the arguments of previous chapters, the entwined inter-relationship between the key concepts of the disruptive arttext and radical care are reflected upon.

Attention is also turned back to (artistic) practice. Considered through a lens of care, practice and being cannot be artificially dissected apart.

A brief addendum situates the writing of this book in simultaneity with the Covid-19 pandemic: a context in which care, and its lack (too often manifesting as dehumanising abstraction), has been central.
