ABSTRACT

The foundation of nuclear deterrence seems to be eroding between India and Pakistan against the backdrop of challenges posed by the advancement of nuclear technologies, evolving force postures (discussed in the preceding chapters) and military application of disruptive technologies. Therefore, there is a need to create a better security environment where mechanisms to regulate nuclear technologies and the negative application of disruptive technologies in the military domain be deliberated and implemented. This chapter, therefore, offers new mechanisms and ways to stabilize deterrence, regulate militarization of Artificial Intelligence and disruptive technologies between Indian and Pakistan.
