ABSTRACT
This chapter discusses the nuances of “zhǐyào p, jiù q (只要p，就q)” and “rúguǒ p, jiù q (如果p，就q),” and exhibits that “zhǐyào p, jiù q” is a typical form of conditional complex sentences, though it is generally regarded as a form of hypothetical complex sentences.
