ABSTRACT

Christian spirituality is generally described as a spirituality of the Incarnation because Jesus took on a human body. This chapter is about how people view that body (understood as the whole human person, and not just the physical body), and therefore, how that view will influence how they view and live Christian spirituality. The chapter is a critical reflection on how new perspectives on human beings are integrated into the Christian understanding of the human body, human nature, and Christian living in general.
