ABSTRACT

The fight against abuse of sportspersons and the protection of the integrity of sport poses the question whether illegally obtained evidence can be considered admissible in sports proceedings. This chapter will therefore discuss the admissibility of illegally obtained evidence as well as of evidence that was inadvertently discovered during investigations of other sports rules and regulations. This chapter will also take a look at the admissibility of information obtained from other third parties, such as such as journalists or whistle-blowers.
