ABSTRACT

This chapter analyzes the various levels of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic in the 21st century. First, the main attributes of this state's de facto statehood were presented. Then, the author characterized the foreign policy vectors of this entity to begin with an analysis of the president's program document. Then, the most important areas of cooperation between the client and its patron were identified. Finally, Stepanakert's relations with the US and Russia were characterized. Cooperation with Moscow was particularly highlighted due to the transformation of client relations in the case of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic.
