ABSTRACT

Esther’s Zen training made her quite happy with a silent hike up a mountain with other people, but she found that for most of us hiking means chatting. This brought up some questions about the human ability to really hike up mountains. Yehuda and Esther discussed the first and foremost reason for chatting on a mountain: fear of the Real, and speech as a safety net against it. This chapter will also discuss marriage wishes as insistence on Imaginary wholeness, art, and Zen-Buddhism.
