ABSTRACT

As discussed, at the end of Step One of enhanced cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT-E), after four weeks, one or two sessions will be dedicated in part to assessing the progress made and deciding on the problems to be addressed in Step Two. This review is repeated every four weeks during Step Two if weight regain is a goal. The review sessions are dedicated to jointly reviewing the progress, identifying barriers to change, reviewing the personal formulation, deciding whether to use the broad version of CBT‐E and planning which and in which order to address the seven key processes that maintain eating disorders.
