ABSTRACT

The world is facing grand challenges for the planet, people, and prosperity. The biggest challenge is implementing change. Increased awareness of the underlying values required to drive sustainability is essential to motivate for action and to search for solutions when facing conflicting values. Multiple frameworks and concepts are now available to help leaders develop sustainable mindsets, formulate ambitions, implement sustainable change, and measure the impacts. The UN's sustainability goals are useful blueprints for organizations to identify goals and set ambitions. Corporate social responsibility is a long- and well-established practice driving sustainable change, and corporations are increasingly incorporating sustainable practices as an integral part of all daily business. Several frameworks are available to measure social impacts beyond financial instruments.
