ABSTRACT
The idea for this book arose during webinars where I introduced the new Chartered Institute for Personnel and Development (CIPD) qualifications to prospective learners and through my own teaching and learning on CIPD programmes. The chapters are designed in response to the questions posed by students and prospective students. All too often, there is little time dedicated to preparing learners effectively to get the most from their CIPD studies. Those who opt to study face-to-face tend to enjoy more support and guidance than those who study 100% online, but time is still tight. Having worked with hundreds of students studying CIPD qualifications over the last 20 years, I recognised that more help was needed. There are many excellent texts that support module content, but there is much less support available for students where the primary focus is on study skills, referencing and how to pass your CIPD programme.
