ABSTRACT

Getting Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) qualified can provide a much-needed competitive edge in the job market. The CIPD qualification framework includes five qualifications that offer progression through levels 3, 5 and 7. At levels 5 and 7, it is possible to specialise in either people management or learning and development. This chapter introduces the qualification framework and how CIPD membership can support your career and CIPD levels of membership. Getting CIPD qualified is possible at any stage of your career, whether you possess little or extensive experience in human resources.
