ABSTRACT
The chapter is to introduce the second rhyme group system of the old Chinese language. In this context, 16 Chinese characters categorized as second rhyme group system are fully discussed with concrete examples. Three aspects related to rhyme group system, namely, the connotation of final group, the values of old Chinese finals, and their construction, as well as Tōngyùn and Héyùn, are finally summarized.
