ABSTRACT
Chinese language is featured as the tone language. The chapter is to introduce and analysis the tone system of the Old Chinese language. Beginning with the introduction of different views of tone system of the Old Chinese language. Then, nine different views on ancient tones in Old Chinese are discussed respectively with concrete examples. Based on the detailed discussion, the chapter finally summarizes the view in this book.
