ABSTRACT

Blended learning is becoming an effective way to teach in the 21st century. This teaching approach combines both traditional classroom learning and online learning, which makes it more flexible and effective. With blended learning, students can access course materials and resources online while also attending face-to-face classes. This approach caters to different learning styles and provides greater accessibility, making it an exciting and innovative way for teachers to design their teaching-learning process. This chapter discusses the concept of blended learning and advocates that blended learning presents numerous possibilities for teachers, like creating autonomous learning time, devoting more time to work with individual learners and small groups, fostering collaboration, discussion, and in-person learning, and better preparing learners for their post-collegiate careers. The chapter further describes that one must pay attention to instructional strategies, and for their benefits, it discusses some useful strategies for practising blended learning. At the end, the chapter discusses the key considerations for teachers while practising blended learning.
