ABSTRACT

Research reveals that the environment of classrooms, whether offline or online, plays a very significant role in promoting learning among learners. Creating a proper environment is a gateway to ensuring joyful learning. Therefore, today’s teachers’ real challenge is creating an environment that makes learning a festive and fun activity. This challenge becomes more serious considering that teaching moves from face-to-face to online. The teachers cannot overcome this challenge by imposing rigid rules and regulations. Instead, teachers must create an environment where learners feel motivated and happy to learn automatically. The chapter aims to make teachers aware of the significance of the learning environment in the teaching-learning process. It details various ways and techniques to create an environment suited to the moods and needs of the learners. Most importantly, the chapter deals with the issue of creating a joyful learning environment in both offline and online teaching.
