ABSTRACT

Chapter 47 discusses how multicultural business should start at the board of directors’ level, as America’s boards still lag when it comes to diversity. The chapter discusses a study from the Latinos Corporate Directors Association (LCDA) and the learnings from a study conducted by the organization, “Sounding the Alarm: Latino Board Trends 2010–2020.”

In the chapter, the author discusses, with LCDA’s CEO, Esther Aguilera, the challenges to increase diversity in the country’s boards and how organizations like LCDA can help to reverse this situation.
