The unions organize on the industrial principle, and cover practically the whole labour market as regards manual workers. The presentation of a general theme for consideration is indeed becoming an established tradition at Landsorganisationen (LO) congresses. The report which is translated here brings together in a systematic exposition the fruits of recent trade union thinking in Sweden on the problems of economic growth and the structural changes inevitably associated with it.
