ABSTRACT

The fifth chapter analyses the Jal Jan Jodo (water-people alliance) campaign and the activities associated with it across the country. The campaign aims to bring civil society and the government together for water conservation, protecting water bodies, and rejuvenating dying rivers through a combination of traditional and modern methods. The chapter closely examines how the JJJ campaign is working to bring all stakeholders together, facilitating dialogues, improving water literacy and awareness, and most importantly, pushing for a law ensuring water security for all in the country.
