ABSTRACT
Chapter 11 is an epilogue that takes a look behind and ventures a look beyond. The look behind is a compressed overview of the principal themes elaborated in Chapters 2–10. The look beyond is a programmatic glance at closely related issues unaddressed so far in this volume. These issues arise as meta-questions about the use of decision theory. Any attempt to justify the use of decision theory initiates a regress of reasons. The chapter shows that this regress leads ultimately to foundational issues of truth. But truth faces stiff challenges on both skeptical and deflationary grounds. The chapter, therefore, attempts to respond to these challenges.
