ABSTRACT
Building on the chapter directly before this one on getting to know our new working environment, this chapter looks specifically at the people factor attached to this task. It looks at the need to understand other people’s behaviour with emotional intelligence, the importance of teamwork and building trust, how to build a relationship with your new manager, and finishes by looking at the important topic of building a relationship with your team as a new manager or boss.
