ABSTRACT
At the core of learning is listening. There are so many different types of listening, and so few people understand them all and especially their role in learning. Active listening is a crucial component of effective teaching. When teachers listen attentively to their students, they can better understand their learning needs, assess their progress, and provide feedback that is tailored to their individual needs. Additionally, active listening can help teachers to build positive relationships with their students, which can lead to a more productive and supportive learning environment. One of the primary benefits of listening in teaching is that it can help teachers to identify the strengths and weaknesses of their students. Active listening can also help teachers to assess the effectiveness of their teaching strategies. One strategy for active listening is to use reflective listening. Reflective listening involves paraphrasing and summarizing the students’ responses to ensure that the teacher has understood them correctly.
