ABSTRACT

This chapter explores a specific example of a dynamic and future-aware way of working, in which the understanding and necessity of change is built-in to the design of the system. This example is illustrated with a very simple example of a file-naming convention for the dialogue lines in a cinematic scene – and we are shown how by accepting and making change easy up-front, the friction involved in changing or adding new lines of dialogue into the existing structure makes room for creative and dynamic changes as part of the development process.
