ABSTRACT

In this example a sinusoidal wave acts as an attractor for paving – creating a sinuous pathway with a gradient of pavers. The further the pavers are from the wave, the smaller and lighter they become. Attractors are fields of attraction or repulsion. They can be used to transform geometry, cull objects, or map colors along gradients. Attractors can be used by landscape architects to design gradients of plants, paving, or landforms.
