ABSTRACT

Here we explain the different types of settings, both individual and group psychotherapy, in which we carry out dreamwork. The specific ways of approaching dreams central to the different stages of therapy are then outlined, and the recommended criteria for therapists to discern which type of dream analysis to use according to the client's priorities and needs at any given time. The technical choices we propose here are the result of our clinical experience and will be declined in more detail from the following chapters onwards.
