ABSTRACT

This chapter compliments GVV insofar as it provides additional resources to the existing materials on the topic. If the authors look at the origins of Western thinking, consistency was the main goal of The Father of Philosophy, Socrates. Based on over ten years of experience teaching Socratic Dialogue to hundreds of Business and Law students and many other professionals, they give teachers and practitioners guidelines to design and conduct Socratic Dialogue courses or sessions (which may last from a few hours to several months). To these ends, they set out a series of activities and exercises that can be used to practice the methodology, which they have distilled from extensive first-hand experience. Since then, they have found that GVV and SD make a perfect combination for achieving the practical learning they sought. What follows is a practical experience of the transformative force of GVV via Socratic Dialogue.
