ABSTRACT

This chapter begins with a discussion about digital religion studies and, in particular, how contemporary neopagans and Catholics incorporate social media into their spiritual paths. Research questions will be presented concerning social media and religion-related activities. In the next paragraphs, the methodology and results of the author's survey conducted among Slavic neopagans and Catholics in Poland on digital activities related to spiritual practices will be described. Amongst the sample participating in the study, apart from individuals declaring themselves neopagans, there was also a group of Catholics in order to complete the picture of Slavic neopagans by showing a perspective from the Catholic religion, the most dominant in Poland. Among the tested samples, there is a group of Slavic witches. As they can be followers of both religions, they will not be described separately in this section of the book. The next chapter will be devoted to a portrait of a contemporary Slavic witch.
