ABSTRACT
The third chapter has an environmental focus. It examines texts that envision temporally close or distant human-driven climate change in which the Arctic oscillates between being perceived as atopic space and affectively connoted place. It also has a focus on more-than-human entanglements, which find a specific form in the Arctic, and on (post)apocalyptic novels that imagine the end in the Arctic, or the end starting in the Arctic.
