ABSTRACT

Being in contact with people's own sense of meaning and purpose can be a strong motivation for connecting with their desire to commit to and act on what matters. Proactively addressing and committing to the life they are creating for themselves and others can be a strong initiator of the three Ts. In many of the development processes that the author is involved in, a core element is that the participants give each other feedback on helpful and less helpful behaviour after having worked intensely together over a period of a few days. These feedback rounds are often a powerful, intense and rewarding experience. The introduction to the feedback rounds is often met with anxiety and concern. Putting emotions into words offers an additional advantage by helping to calm people down and centre them in the here-and-now.
