ABSTRACT

The life of Maimonides and how it contributed to his ideas. How major experiences likely affected his thinking and writing, such as his exile from beloved Spain due to Moorish/Moslem invasion and rule; dislocation to Morocco, then briefly Palestine and ultimately Egypt; drowning death of his beloved only brother David and subsequent work as a physician to the Pharaoh's Court; accepting one special student who left prematurely; and finally writing the Guide.
