ABSTRACT

That specific experience taught author it is futile to rely on any particular piece of technology as a silver bullet. Everything eventually changes. This is a double-edged sword: what makes technology such a force to be reckoned with—the rapid pace at which it evolves and becomes better—makes it so that no one can sit still for too long. Many leaders understand this issue, but their approach to handling it is unproductive. Having a system to help the readers address the many changes technology will go through is incredibly useful in helping their team stay on track. Many software engineers lament how tough it is to remain up-to-date given the fast-moving nature of the industry. Therefore, it is undoubtedly an even greater problem for those removed from the work and yet need to remain current with changes that can affect their company's strategy. While there are different ways companies try to handle this, there are two most common scenarios.
