ABSTRACT

No work on the current state of tech in enterprises can be complete without addressing the elephant in the room, which is digital transformations. One of the hottest buzzwords around, digital transformation is perhaps better referred to as a wooly mammoth. There's no doubt you've heard this term thrown around. “Digital transformation” is the generic term used by organizations or companies that decide to overhaul their tech. It often comprises the automation of manual processes, the introduction of newer systems, and the setup of proper R&D departments. Businesses decide to invest in the adoption of technology to achieve better efficiency, become more innovative and competitive, and generate new forms of value to differentiate themselves. A different scenario is where a significant portion of the existing solutions is scrapped in favor of the new and shiny way of doing things.
