Having gone through the trouble of explaining the importance of putting great tech leadership in place, the authors should ensure that the other parties are also aligned. It takes two to tango, and even the best and brightest tech leaders can't guarantee impact without cooperation from their peers. And from your leadership, the same mindset should trickle down to the entire organization. Jelling the senior team often starts with the CEO. The different objectives and significant roadmap items should be leveraged for this. If goals don't overlap in responsibility and accountability, silos naturally emerge. Each side ensures that their part is going well, even at the expense of others. A relatively easy and straightforward way to connect different departments, especially their leaders, with technology is to ensure they make good use of it. A big part of that is obviously about developments from your R&D team that are part of the more extensive roadmap.
