ABSTRACT

This section is about the immense global forces now facing modern education; global forces that are transforming the 21st century fast, furiously and fundamentally; mega-forces such as globalisation, social media and mass urbanisation; existential forces such as AI, global pandemics and climate change; forces that on one hand threaten the very existence of life on this planet; forces that on other hand offer humankind a potential pathway to a better life, a longer life in harmony with nature and with ourselves as a species; a potential routeway to education for all and learning for life in the 100-year life ahead.
