ABSTRACT

Women leaders in this chapter explore the concept of shared leadership, which enables them to challenge the status quo and promote equity and diversity. As leaders, these women negotiate cultural dynamics and practice autonomy and agency in educational leadership and beyond. Using their unique leadership style, these women lead cognitive and policy changes. In this sense, women leaders across the globe steer a covert revolution leading from where they stand. By working within their realm of formal and informal education, the women leaders mobilize transformation on the micro and macro educational levels, thus fostering societal and communal changes.
