ABSTRACT

There has been a global call for attention to all aspects of equity on the social, economic, and educational basis. Hence the question is not whether we should support women educational leaders but rather what channels we need to employ to better support them in building their leadership capacity and accessing equitable access to leadership positions, especially as they navigate cultural and other explicit and tacit norms. This will not only benefit women on a personal level but will also transform societies. Globally, women educational leaders have a fundamental role to play toward eradicating poverty, fostering gender equity, and modeling girl’s empowerment.
