ABSTRACT

This series of eight letters focuses on how to use QST for specific needs and conditions. Topics addressed include the normative phases of a child’s development, such as the years around age two, when a child’s budding independence is at its peak, and then at age four, when a child’s need for predictability can lead them to be controlling of the family routine. Techniques are offered to meet and help successfully navigate through these phases. Further letters address regressions and the consequences of sensory problems at school. Parent letters focusing on QST and specific medical conditions such as Crohn’s disease are offered along with a letter from a Master Trainer highlighting the importance of the early capacity for self-regulation as it affects later development.
