ABSTRACT
Working with human relationships has taught us so much about the enormity of the feelings at stake when the authors give their heart to another and the amazing bravery that is required to repair broken bonds. Together, they feel honored to be allowed to witness the courageous feats of love that they see before us in our therapy spaces. When people risk to open their hearts for the sake of their bond, despite considerable pain and fear, amazing things happen for them and within their relationships. Thye each get tied in knots when people conclude that they just do not make each other happy anymore or that they do not have it in them to keep trying. Thye each ache along with one partner when they are rocked with the devastating news that their special other has left them and won’t return.
