ABSTRACT

The increasing popularity of fashion worldwide has resulted in a significant rise in the number of university departments offering fashion design courses to cater to the growing demand. In fashion design education, sustainability has emerged as a critical factor in many institutions. The upcycling method in practical studies and academic discussions regarding sustainable fashion education is explained within this chapter. Additionally, the challenges associated with evaluating students’ work in sustainable fashion education programs have been analyzed, and proposals have been put forth for multifaceted, inclusive, and collaborative solutions.
