ABSTRACT
This brief chapter kicks off the final section of the book, that pulls in all of the other statistics and advice drawn from the interviews that did not fit neatly under the umbrella of “film finance,” but is still vitally important to building a career as an independent film producer. It uses statistics from the interviewed producers to show the incredible value of gaining work experience before attempting to produce a film independently. It also shares the stories of how many producers gained their work experience, both within the entertainment industry, and well beyond it.
