ABSTRACT

The chapter addresses the topic of consent, beginning with the definition of this concept and how it translates into the world of consent in sexual activity. The chapter takes the reader through stories of four children whose consent is overridden and how and why this occurs with parenting and society. Practitioners are given some examples of Sex-Ed and examples from education about language, conversations and how young people and adolescents need to be able to speak and talk freely with sexual words and concepts to convey consent and willingness for sexual activity.
