ABSTRACT
What is Volume Control (Brain Bar), and why is the virtual production process lost without it? Chapter 17 focuses on the personnel often included in an efficient operating Brain Bar. Organizational charts, job descriptions, administrative and production-specific reporting structure, and what the day-to-day might look like for each role are provided, along with an exploration of the tools required for each role’s success. Included in this chapter is a list of suggested hardware and software specifications for the Brain Bar, covering everything from rendering and control systems, video pipeline tools, and Sync/Genlock requirements all the way through the process to testing and certification.
