The discussion in this book has focused on eight themes that demonstrate how similar people are across countries and cultures:

Things that motivate people within an organization

Things that de-motivate people within an organization

How trust is important in business, and how trust can be built in an organization

How people have respect for each other and how the organization can foster that

How fairness is demonstrated in an organization and how to generate perceptions of fairness

How honesty and integrity are solid foundations for running an organization

How looking forward and planning are vital parts of running a successful business

The reasons that people choose to work.

No matter what country you come from, or what culture you belong to, these elements are quite similar.

The business world is changing pretty dramatically due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the entry into leadership positions of Millennials and Gen Z people. Their views include a greater focus on sustainable development goals, particularly protecting the environment and offering equal opportunities to women and minorities. Working from home is a major part of work today. But people are still people!
