ABSTRACT

Calvin and Hobbes (1985–95) was a comic strip by Bill Waterson featuring a six-year-old rogue and his stuffed tiger. Several of their misadventures involved a transmogrifier, a cardboard box that turns the user into anything at all, and whose function can be changed by altering the label. For this case, put on your Calvin and Hobbes hat and imagine a transmogrifier, a machine that can change specific aspects of the world. It can add or remove anything you like from the world and change it in any way you care to imagine. You can also specify which parts of the world you’d like to remain constant despite the changes you’ve programmed.
