ABSTRACT

The utilization of greywater can either be a boon or bust. The trick with greywater is to ensure that environmental benefits exceed the environmental costs of capturing and distributing the water. This chapter covers nomenclature, the ideal types of properties for greywater reuse, the characteristics of an effective system, lists some of the many plants that thrive with greywater, and the maintenance tasks needed to operate a system whose benefits outweigh its costs.
