ABSTRACT

The third group of people uniquely at risk to become a victim of a no-body homicide are those working in the sex trades. They regularly go to private places with strangers. Potential witnesses are often reluctant to talk to police. Lifestyles can be irregular. This chapter examines how these factors make no-body homicides of sex trade workers both disproportionately common and difficult for the police to clear. The chapter concludes with a case highlighting the dangers faced by sex trade clients.
