ABSTRACT
This chapter seeks to provide an overview of China’s territorial consolidation and rehabilitation in ancient, modern, and contemporary times and focuses on the efforts made by the Ministry of Natural Resources, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the Ministry of Water Resources, the Ministry of Ecological Environment, and the Ministry of Emergency Management. Then, it reviews the country’s policy documents on the territorial comprehensive consolidation and rehabilitation.
