ABSTRACT
Until this point in your mixing process, everything you have been doing has been static. This means that you’ve set something up, and it has remained that way indefinitely because nothing is altering it. This is a great starting point, but it doesn’t make for an exciting mix. Whether noticeable or not, your listener will prefer a mix with some movement that doesn’t remain the same from beginning to end.
