ABSTRACT
Finally, Chapter 8 explores the role of digital leadership in changing the way organisations work and provides an empirical understanding and practice towards that. Therefore, we aim to guide digital leaders so that they will create a new Way of Work (WoW) that accommodates the new move to the digital space. The aim of this chapter is to understand why organisations need to adjust their internal systems to meet digitalisation challenges. We will explore why the roles of Chief Information Officer (CIO) and other digital-related roles are crucial in leading digital transformation. It is also important to understand the need to change the operating models that sit behind the organisation structure and to take a look at the future of organisations where machines and humans work together. Finally, this chapter explores the ethical part of digitalisation and why digital leadership must be ethical.
