ABSTRACT
This chapter sees Klein herself introducing Mr B. The notes presented in this chapter were presumably made by Klein as she prepared to teach seminars to candidates at the Institute of Psychoanalysis. Klein remarks on several formative experiences in Mr B's life, such as the traumatic arrival of a baby sister when Mr B was 5 years old, and a possible sexual violation of Mr B by his brother not long afterwards. Both of these experiences, she indicates, will be powerfully revived in the course of the analysis, for example when Mr B bumps into a child patient at the start of his (Mr B's) session.
